Long time Litchfield residents, Heather Portillo and Heather Caron are excited for their new endeavor….Farmhouse on the Corner! A little store, on the corner of the plaza known to many as the Litchfield Food Mart. Their little rustic store front will be offering New Hampshire made home decor and gifts. Originally looking at a spot in Manchester, with so much to invest in an old building, they thought “perhaps this in not the right time for us” Heather said. Then driving home to Litchfield and passing the
food mart, the light bulb went off…why not bring our passion to our hometown?” Slated to open in October at 469 Charles Bancroft Highway, with hours tentatively to be Thursdays 2-8pm, Fridays 12-6pm, Saturdays 9-3pm and Sundays 12-4pm.

Husbands can run to the food mart, grab their beers and snacks, then stop by the Farmhouse for a thoughtful little gift for the wife, before sitting down to watch the football games!

They are still working on a list of vendors, but you can find items like candles, home décor, signs, towels, totes, jewelry, dog treats, tumblers and succulents. They also are looking at offering fresh flowers in
mason jars for sale on the weekends. There will be a limited supply of arrangements and once they are sold out you will have to come back the following weekend to take a look.

If you are interested in being a vendor, you can reach out to Heather at farmhouseonthecorner1@gmail.com . You can follow them
on Facebook and Instagram and their website will be coming shortly. The community is looking forward to their grand opening!
