Opinion by John Caynon

When you see a President reading from a book of notes during a press conference, do you get warm and fuzzy feelings? When you see your President stumble through a press conference and go off on tangents and then trail off and seem to lose his place, how does that make you feel. When your President trips 3 times going up plane steps and falls and you are told by the Press Secretary that “There was a stiff wind out there”, you feeling good about that? Is the Press so complicit in keeping our President behind the green curtain with their softball questions and allowing him to say that the migrant crush is not a crisis, but we have FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) involved, but there is no crisis? Why didn’t anyone ask him how we can send migrant kids to school, but US kids that he mentioned less than 50% of US kids are in school full time. Are those teachers in the migrant facilities scared, but still doing their jobs, but our teachers are scared and can’t do their jobs? How come the press seemed satisfied when he said they can’t see the other migrant facilities until his plan is implemented. Would they have tolerated that from Trump? I thought the press after more than 2 months would be more voracious in their questions, but they seem to forget how they acted with the last President. Expect more people to come across the border with phone numbers attached after this President’s press conference. We are in for bumpy ride…
