The 4/1/2021 Conservation Commission Meeting started with long time member and current Vice Chair Tom Levesque reluctantly handing in his resignation. Levesque had allegedly disclosed non-public information publicly. Levesque admitted the gaffe, apologized to the parties involved and offered to resign willingly. Levesque then rescinded his voluntary resignation but several Selectmen insisted he resign. Levesque has served the town of Litchfield in different capacities for 50 years. Here is the Official Statement from the Board of Selectmen.
On behalf of the Board of Selectmen, I want to thank Mr. Levesque for his many years of volunteer service to the Town of Litchfield. His dedication and commitment, like so many others, has undoubtedly made Litchfield one of NH’s greatest community.
The meeting resumed and new officers were elected. Matt Lepore was elected Chair, Joan McKibben Vice Chair and Andrew Thompson was elected Secretary. Also, Jayson Brennan was elected as an alternate.
