NH Governor Chris Sununu let the State Mask Mandate expire on My 7th. However, School Districts have extended the mandate until the end of the school year. The NHIAA had also decided to extend the order for all Spring Sports Playoff games. Litchfield State Rep. Rich Lascelles spoke to the Executive Director and this is his statement.

The NHIAA is currently requiring masks for the state tournament, so most schools are keeping the mask mandate in place for now to prepare for the tournament. I talked with the executive director of the NHIAA today and he said they are having a meeting *tomorrow (May 12) and there is a proposal to remove the tournament mask mandate on the agenda and he supports that. Hopefully that occurs and Campbell follows suit and the masks for players will be removed and the kids can BREATHE while playing.

*MEETING IS FRIDAY 5/15. STAY TUNED!!!

A petition to repeal the mask mandate is circulating now, click here to participate: https://www.change.org/p/nhiaa-new-hampshire-interscholastic-athletic-association-repeal-nhiaa-mandatory-mask-mandate-for-student-athletes?utm_source=ReopenNH&utm_campaign=2d9986dd4f-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2021_05_12_03_21_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d2009f58e9-2d9986dd4f-1342584792&fbclid=IwAR1iQgo5qWlCvCRX-MJPFnrC-JooRXumxbgjEVber-EK64FRXr6J6JR-kDo
