Via What’s Up News
When: Monday 5/31 @ 10AM
Where: It will run down Albuquerque (in a southerly direction) from Simeon Lane to the New Fire Station. 1.1. Miles. You will have the glory to be able to hoot and holler from the bike path.
Parking: There will be parking at Sawmill Park and you will also be able to park along Albuquerque. For people parking on ABQ, please park on the opposite side of the road as the Bike Path.
Parade Participants: Meet at 9:30AM at Albuquerque & Simeon/White. There will be big signs telling you where to go. Again… if you’re a group (scouts, teams, people with dogs, bikers over 1 year old, etc.), have a cool vehicle that you can decorate, or have a float, join in.
If You’re Around, Come On Down: It’s been a long year and we all could use a little dose of community spirit. This parade is a long-standing, awesome, award-winning community event that was cancelled last year due to the pandemic and it will be nice to get together and have some fun. So… come on down!
UPDATE… The plan is to keep the entire parade route closed to normal vehicular traffic for the entirety of the parade. Motorized vehicles participating in the parade will be asked at the conclusion to continue south on Albuquerque. Pedestrian participants and non motorized floats will be allowed to turn into Liberty way at the end to take apart floats, etc.
